When the Roses migrated to New York they served at Associate Pastor at Beulah Church of the Nazarene and later co-founded the Solid Rock Church of the Nazarene in Queens. Their dedication to improving the academic development and empowerment of our communities is demonstrated in their extensive volunteer commitments. Irving is Chairman & CEO of Charles Pickering Educational Institute(CPEI), Chairman of Victory International Ministries(VIM) and Deborah Y. DeShong Community Outreach Movement, Consultant to Campus Crusade for Christ International, and adjunct professor at the Metro New York School of Ministry. Leslyn is very active in the various ministries at Victory, a CPEI faculty member and COO of VIM. She is a member of the National Black MBA Association and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

In addition to their volunteer and community service obligations, both Irving and Leslyn's diversified career also includes several years in the financial services industry. Irving is a Financial Consultant at a leading insurance company and an Insurance Arbitrator. He also leads The Rose Consulting Group, a financial management firm. Leslyn is a senior management executive at a large multi-national financial services conglomerate where she manages teams in the audits of the firm's control environment and its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Both Irving and Leslyn have undergraduate and graduate degrees. Irving completed a Masters degree at Alliance Theological Seminary and a Bachelors degree at Caribbean Nazarene College. Presently, Irving is in the final stage of completing his Doctorate in Theology at Covington Theological Seminary. Leslyn is a graduate of Baruch College where she earned a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelors in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude. Leslyn was also an engineering student at the University of Guyana.
